My ABC is a range of educational software that helps to prepare your child for school in a playful manner. The following learning areas are addressed:

• Cd 3: Skryf en klank (only available in Afrikaans) 5 years and older
• Cd 4: Syfers en somme (only available in Afrikaans) 5 years and older
• Cd 5: Verskille / Difference  (bilingual) 5 years and older Available in English
• Cd 6: Legkaarte (only available in Afrikaans) 5 years and older
• Cd 7: Inkleur / Colouring In (bilingual)3 - 10 years Available in English
• Cd 8: Spel / Spelling (bilingual) 7 years and older Available in English

CD 1: Kruis / Crossing

Your child connects the pictures on the left hand side of the computer screen with the matching picture on the right hand side. Appropriate for children age  3 to 10 years. The cd contains 4000 screens in both English and Afrikaans..

Midline-crossing helps children with left-and-right-side-coordination. This is very important for the development of reading and writing skills. It allows the child's eyes to fluently move from the left to the right side of the page. This skill is also required for the development of small muscle coordination which is needed for the child to draw patterns from the left side of the page to the right side.

          
 

CD 5: Verskille / Differences

Your child is shown two pictures on the screen. These pictures differ from each other in many ways. You child must find and click on these differences. These exercises are important for the development of:

• Concentration and endurance
• Logical reasoning
• Spatial orientation and positioning
• Visual perception

Appropriate for children aged 5 years and older. This cd contains a 1000 pictures in both English and Afrikaans. Colours, shapes, letters and numbers are used as a theme in this programme.

Your child sees two pictures on the screen. The picture on the right hand side must be coloured in so that it looks exactly as the one on the left hand side.  Your child does this by clicking on the colour of his choice and then clicking on the appropriate place in the picture.

Appropriate for children aged 3 to 10 years. Die CD contains 500 pictures. The cd also contains a free drawing programme that allows your child to create his/her own master pieces.

CD 8: Spel / Spell

Your child sees a picture on the screen and must then spell this word by clicking on the correct letters. This is appropriate for children aged 7 years and older. IMPORTANT: Your child MUST be able to read to play this game! The cd contains 400 words in both English and Afrikaans.
